Ebike Cargo Website Blog 11-2025

We are announcing that we will be releasing a monthly blog/newsletter going forward.

We hope to grow our audience and keep our fiery cargo bike tribe informed of recent, exciting developments.

Time flies my friends, for those of you that know us, you know that we stay extraordinarily busy. 2025 has been an interesting if not profitable year for the Ebike Cargo project.

We began the year by doing a small run of Velockers to figure out how to improve the product from a safety and security standpoint. The manufacturer that we used for the run proved to be unreliable. Go figure, a large corporate firm owned by private equity was not a good partner. Lesson learned.

We are now working with a local sheet metal manufacturer to hopefully help us get up and running again.

We did however find Rise Up Industries, a local CNC shop that does awesome work and also is an impact driven organization. The folks from Rise Up hires and trains previously incarcerated gang members to be machinists, effectively reducing gang populations and recidivism rates.

We took a year off from running DRT in San Diego, but we are committed to running a similar event in 2026. We did however attend the Disaster Ready Summit in San Diego and connected with the various city, county and state agencies and individuals that you want to know in the event of a disaster. We continue to build out a list of contacts interested in preparedness, disaster response and mutual aid with cargo bikes.

In 2025 we started the Bike Rebellion Podcast and Youtube series. During the first season we released 12 episodes and spoke to a broad spectrum of bike commuters, advocates, innovators and organizers about their bike mobility journeys. During the first 12 episodes our team learned a lot and told some compelling stories about life in the bike lane.

Recently we exhibited Velockers at CoMotion LA, which was a gathering of mobility innovators, thinkers, investors and city leaders talking about the future of transportation. It was a fantastic way to learn from, meet and collaborate with leaders doing the hard work of guiding us into the future. There were some real characters there who were building truly innovative and impactful products and companies.
